Job description
We are currently looking for an administrative and finance professional who combines strong accounting knowledge with a solid understanding of business processes.
As Finance Officer & Odoo Key User, you combine a solid administrative and financial background with a passion for digitalization and ERP systems. You are responsible for ensuring accurate financial administration while serving as the internal point of contact for Odoo. You understand how purchasing, inventory, production, and sales processes are connected within an ERP system, and how these operational activities impact the company’s financial administration. Your insights help ensure that our business processes are not only operationally efficient but also financially accurate.
You are not a software developer or ERP consultant. Instead, you are a strong Key User who understands business processes, supports colleagues, and collaborates closely with our external Odoo implementation partner to continuously improve our ERP environment.
You report directly to the CFO and work closely with colleagues across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and our external accounting partner.
What you’ll do
Financial Administration
You are responsible for the accurate and efficient administration of our financial processes. Your responsibilities include:
- Processing and following up on incoming invoices.
- Preparing and reviewing outgoing invoices.
- Managing and monitoring weekly payment runs.
- Following up on credit card expenses, transport documentation, customs documents, and other administrative files.
- Supporting inventory accounting and fixed asset accounting together with our external accounting partner.
- Reviewing the quality and accuracy of financial postings.
- Assisting with management reporting, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis.
- Maintaining accurate master data within the ERP system.
Odoo Key User
You are the central point of contact for all Odoo-related questions within Senhive.
Your responsibilities include:
- Supporting colleagues with day-to-day Odoo questions.
- Investigating issues and helping identify root causes.
- Performing straightforward system configurations and adjustments independently.
- Coordinating more complex improvements with our external Odoo partner.
- Testing and validating new functionalities before implementation.
- Identifying process improvement opportunities and translating them into efficient ERP solutions.
- Helping maintain accurate master data and well-structured business processes.
Finance & Business Processes
This is a key part of the role.
You understand how operational processes translate into financial transactions within an ERP environment. You are able to assess the financial impact of changes in areas such as:
- Purchasing processes
- Inventory management
- Manufacturing and production
- Sales and invoicing
- Product costing
- Inventory valuation
- Revenue recognition
You are capable of analysing the financial impact of operational processes, identifying discrepancies, and working together with the business and our Odoo partner to implement the right solutions.
You help ensure the financial accuracy of our ERP processes.
Your Profile
- You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or have equivalent relevant experience.
- In addition, you recognize yourself in the following:
- You have at least 7 years of experience in an administrative, accounting, or finance-related role.
- You have a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- You understand how ERP systems support both financial and operational business processes.
- Experience with Odoo is a strong asset, although experience with another ERP system is equally valuable.
- You have an affinity with supply chain, purchasing, inventory management, and manufacturing processes.
- You enjoy working in a process-oriented environment and proactively look for opportunities to improve workflows.
- You have strong analytical skills and can easily connect operational activities with financial outcomes.
- You communicate effectively with colleagues across different departments.
- You work accurately, independently, and take ownership of your responsibilities.
- You have an excellent command of Dutch and a good working knowledge of English. Knowledge of French is considered a plus.
